C&T and oToBrite Spotlight GMSL Camera Technology at COMPUTEX 2025

At this year’s COMPUTEX, C&T Solution Inc. and its key technology partner oToBrite came together to discuss the growing adoption of GMSL (Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link) camera technology in industrial and edge AI applications. The exclusive interview featured Jordy Hsu, Product Marketing Manager at C&T, and Ian Zeng, Associate Vice President at oToBrite, who shared insights into how GMSL technology is driving next-generation computer vision systems.
The conversation took place alongside a live demo at C&T’s booth, showcasing the JCO-6000-ORN, a rugged AI edge computer powered by NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin™ and capable of supporting up to 8x GMSL2 cameras for real-time, high-bandwidth imaging.
Designed for demanding environments, GMSL camera technology outperforms USB and PoE alternatives by delivering higher bandwidth, lower latency, longer cable reach, and better shielding. These advantages make it especially well-suited for applications such as mobile robotics, autonomous machines, and in-vehicle vision systems.
The interview delved into how GMSL stands apart from other vision interfaces like PoE and USB, especially in industrial AMR/AGV, smart mobility, and ADAS applications where robust imaging and real-time inference are key. C&T’s JCO Series, built for these edge applications, integrates this advanced camera technology to provide an all-in-one rugged AI platform.
